We have an exciting opportunity for a Trade Marketing Manager to join our dynamic Marketing team at our Head Office in Sittingbourne. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of working remotely up to two days per week.

What you'll be doing:
As our Trade Market Manager, you would act as the champion and voice of the distributers, merchants and sub-contractors within the UK business, providing tailored marketing support to enhance the customer experience, drive engagement, and maximise sales of Knauf products and services. You would develop and implement coordinated trade marketing campaigns in collaboration with the National Accounts Team to improve product mix, increase sales, and strengthen Knauf’s position in the market.
Responsibilities include:
Customer Channel Expertise:
- Act as the knowledge hub for customer channels (Distribution, Merchants, Retail, Installers), building strong relationships to understand their needs and market influences
- Deliver tailored messaging to drive sales of Knauf products and services.
- Attend customer meetings, industry events, and forums to gather insights and promote Knauf’s value proposition.
Brand Representation:
- Ensure consistent and impactful representation of the Knauf brand, adhering to brand guidelines.
- Develop and implement brand-focused POS materials to enhance visibility and engagement.
- Create and deliver training programs for distributors, merchants, and subcontractors on Knauf products.
- Collaborate with the Data & Document Controller to ensure easy access to product and system data.
Customer Marketing & Collaboration:
- Develop joint marketing plans with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective use of marketing funds.
- Identify and address customer pain points, improving the overall customer experience.
- Support product launches and create propositions to influence key decision-makers.
- Build partnerships with industry training providers to promote the Knauf brand.
- Provide the sales team with tailored, branded materials for trade audiences and events.
Market Intelligence & Performance Monitoring:
- Track competitor activity, identify opportunities and risks, and recommend strategies to stay competitive.
- Monitor sales performance, deliver mitigation plans, and evaluate ROI on marketing activities to ensure budget efficiency.
Collaboration & Integration:
- Work closely with the Brand & Communications Manager to ensure cohesive messaging and campaign delivery across all channels.
What we'd love for you to have:
- CIM Marketing or business qualification.
- Commercial and analytical, with experience of working within the construction sector an advantage.
- Track record in delivering growth and profitability across a product category.
- Proven record of bringing new products to market.
- Experience of working cross functionally in project management and delivery.
- Highly commercial with the ability to manage budgets and calculate ROI.
- Relationship builder & confident networker.
- Strong project management skills are essential.
- Capable of effectively managing budgets.

- Competitive salary of £41,000 - £46,000 + car allowance + bonus
