Knauf (Gypsum) are currently recruiting for a Compliance Engineering Manager at our North Site, in Immingham. This is a full-time role, working 08:00am - 4:30pm or 07:00am - 3:30pm.

What you'll be doing:
To manage and continuously improve engineering statutory compliance across the site, ensuring that facilities, infrastructure, utilities, plant and building systems are safe, reliable and fully compliant with current legislation, approved codes of practice and company standards. The role is accountable for the planning, coordination and verification of statutory inspections, maintenance regimes, certification, contractor controls and remedial actions, providing clear assurance of legal compliance and risk management in support of safe and efficient site operations.
Responsibilities include:
You are required to follow company Health and Safety procedures to ensure the safety of yourself and others.
Ensure all engineering systems, facilities, infrastructure and buildings within scope are maintained and operated in compliance with current statutory, regulatory, company and insurer requirements.
Lead the planning and delivery of planned preventative, statutory and reactive maintenance for site services, security and access systems, buildings and grounds, temporary access equipment, pressure systems and lifting equipment.
Act as Site Lead for Engineering Compliance topics including Noise, Dust, Emergency Lighting, Legionella, PSSR, LEV, Racking, LOLER and Fire Alarm Systems, ensuring inspections, testing, certification and remedial actions are completed and recorded.
Maintain effective compliance governance through accurate statutory registers, maintenance records, certification and audit-ready documentation.
Ensure compliance risks are identified, assessed, escalated where required and addressed through timely corrective actions.
Follow and promote company Health, Safety and Environmental procedures to protect employees, contractors, visitors and others affected by site activities.
Own and manage the site Waste Management Plan, ensuring legal compliance and environmental control.
Manage site-owned and hired vehicle compliance within the scope of responsibility.
Control designated maintenance, repair and capital budgets to support compliance, asset integrity and operational reliability.
Act as a senior member of the Site Leadership Team for ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 audits, presenting on behalf of the Maintenance Team and managing relevant action trackers.
Ensure 24/7 support arrangements are in place for areas under functional responsibility.
Deputise for the Engineering Manager as part of the site Engineering Leadership Team.
What we'd love for you to have:
HNC/D or BA/BSc in Facilities Management or Engineering Subject.
In depth knowledge of Engineering Compliance Topics.
Proven experience of using SAP PM Maintenance Planning System.
Demonstrable experience of Maintenance Management Processes.
IOSH/NEBOSH Health and Safety Qualification.
Experience of working in a fast-paced continuous manufacturing environment.
Advance Excel and data analysis skills essential.
