An internal move has created an opportunity for a Transport Planner at our Sittingbourne site. This is a full-time role with hybrid working, giving you genuine flexibility, while making a real impact.

What you'll be doing:
- Follow company Health & Safety procedures to keep yourself and others safe.
- Plan and manage orders, loads, and collections; schedule and coordinate sub‑contractor requirements.
- Maintain clear, proactive communication with internal departments and hauliers.
- Support the Customer Services team in managing customers and loading capacities.
- Develop and embed planning systems and best practices across the business and with sub‑contractors.
- Consistently meet daily load utilisation and performance targets.
- Coordinate customer collections (CRNs).
- Build positive, straightforward working relationships across the order‑to‑delivery process, internally and externally.
- Engage professionally with customers and sub‑contractors at all times.
- Thrive in a fast‑paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
- Provide timely performance statistics and insights for analysis.
- Control daily capacity within agreed parameters.
- Take ownership of customer issues and resolve them within agreed parameters/SLA.
- Complete CRM system tasks within agreed timescales.
- Carry out additional duties as requested by the Logistics Manager.
What we'd love for you to have:
- Educated to GSCE/NVQ or ICS Standard or equivalent experience
- Proven skills in service recovery and transport planning.
- Good interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills
- IT literate, particularly in advanced excel (vlookups etc) & transport planning tools
- Ability and desire to deliver exceptional levels of Customer Service.
- Comfortable working with conflict able to find routes to positive outcomes
- Adapt effectively to changing needs and ready to make decisions, whilst using initiative.
