We are looking for a Mobile Plant Operator to join our Jetty Team in Sittingbourne, Kent.

Please note, the shift pattern is influenced by tidal schedules, requiring flexibility to work around high and low tides. A shift allowance is included as part of the package.

What you'll be doing:

• Ensure the safe, efficient, and accurate operation of the plant to facilitate the proper unloading and storage of gypsum.
• Communicate any issues promptly and clearly to the appropriate personnel to ensure swift and effective resolution.
• Maintain equipment in optimal working condition and uphold a clean, organised, and safe plant environment.
• Keep site and jetty roadways clean to minimise environmental impact and maintain high standards of site presentation.
• Perform additional duties as required, including occasional support across other departments.
• Operate machinery safely and in compliance with training and established procedures.
• Conduct maintenance tasks as directed and in line with training.
• Follow all operating procedures and adapt to work schedules, including those related to boat arrivals.
• Adhere to the company’s environmental policies, ensuring proper gypsum storage and effective waste management practices.
• Fulfill all responsibilities in accordance with the Integrated Management System (IMS), including compliance with Health & Safety, Quality, Environmental standards, and Corporate Responsibility policies (e.g., Competition and Bribery Acts).

What we'd love for you to have:

• HGV license
• Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment.
• Flexibility - Ability to adjust to changing shift patterns and work schedules influenced by tidal conditions.
• Attention to Detail – Ensuring tasks like unloading, storage, and maintenance are carried out accurately and efficiently.
• Teamwork – Collaborating effectively with colleagues across departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Communication Skills – Clearly and promptly reporting issues or updates to the appropriate personnel.
• Health & Safety Awareness – Prioritising safety in all aspects of the role and adhering to company policies.
