Knauf is excited to announce an opportunity for a Client Development Manager to join our team in a national role. This position focuses on building and managing relationships with Tier 1 Contractors.

- Do you have experience managing relationships with Tier 1 contractors in the UK construction industry?
- Have you successfully developed and implemented client development strategies in your previous roles?
- Have you previously worked in a national role that required extensive travel?

What you'll be doing:
You would need to develop and improve relationships while securing national client supply deals for Knauf; also working closely with regional sales teams to secure regional supply deals. The expectation is that you would manage existing agreements in place and ensure supply relations are maintained effectively. You would work on developing a greater interface with other Knauf companies in order to offer new and unique offers to clients.
Main responsibilities include:
- Develop improved relations and secure national client supply deals for Knauf.
- Work closely with commercial and business development teams to support framework deals.
- Good market awareness to understand where the opportunities for business development lie.
- Strong sales capability to take advantage of the opportunities.
- Strong negotiator with good customer relationship building skills
- Able to close out opportunities to turn them into sales, and turn the sales into long term business.
- Ability to establish and maintain high quality partnership relationships with clients.
- Drive project specification pipeline data ensuring information it is cascaded for action as appropriate.
- Be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of commerciality and relationship implications of company actions on clients
- We are looking for a professional with the knowledge, skills and competence to manage client relations effectively.
- Delivery of the agreed strategies and budgets
- Ability to develop good relationship with colleagues and enjoy working within the team environment
What we'd love for you to have:
- A talent for building and sustaining excellent working partnerships through knowledge of relationship and facilitation techniques.
- Be able to show high interpersonal effectiveness to develop and sustain robust client relationships.
- A good knowledge of MS Office and the ability to work with I.T. platforms is necessary.
- Highly organised and able to prioritise workload to meet required deadlines.
- Ability to work well as part of team as well as own initiative.
- Good standard of communication and influencing skills.
- A positive can do approach to problem solving in a structured manner.
- Role involves extensive UK travel.
