Reporting into the Technical Services Manager we are searching for a team member to join us a Project Specification Executive.
This role is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week. The Project Specification Executive will work from Head office in Sittingbourne, with the flexibility to work from home 1-2 days per week. This role will also require occasional travel to our office in Farringdon.

What you'll be doing:
The Project Specification Executive will drive customer engagement and full system solution project wins through accurate and commercially astute specification writing. They will track and specify products and systems on selected commercial projects as per commercial strategy prioritised by sector, value, location, and product mix. The PSE will work in close partnership with technical and commercial colleagues to support framework (supply chain) customers, focus customers and non-focus customers through project specification and technical support services. These customers can be any person or organisation in the project team.
Responsibilities will include:
- Follow company Health and Safety procedures to ensure the safety of yourself and others
• Responsible for specifications via Knauf System Finder and customer management via OneCRM on all projects that fall inside a specified project value, size, type, mix or sector (as defined by commercial strategy) as per the direction of the Commercial Leadership Team.
• Deliver accurate specifications using technical knowledge, providing commercially viable and substantiated solutions.
• Write specifications and produce relevant packs of Knauf Standard Details on projects utilising the full Knauf product and system portfolio to maximise system sales and product ratios.
• Ensure all relevant information is accurately logged on OneCRM to provide insights to colleagues and the wider business.
• Support customers with project tracking (including OneCRM data entry) and where appropriate with early-stage design specifications using Knauf System Finder.
• Offer ancillary support to internal technical services and technical sales teams where appropriate and as directed by line manager.
• Demonstrate high levels of competency in acoustics, fire, thermal and structural design relevant to the Knauf product portfolio.
• Where required, provide support for qualified lead engagement, System Finder update support and NBS (National Building Specification) reviews.
What we'd love for you to have:
- Proven experience working in a technical support environment dealing with the construction industry
- Has working knowledge of fire, acoustic, thermal, and structural principles.
- Excellent time management, planning and organisation skills.
- Ability to track and manage projects using CRM database.
- Proficient IT literacy and in all aspects of MS Office.
- Ability to read architectural details.
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical information and specification data using both writing and oral methods to a wide variety of clientele.
